Dean and I are planning on doing another game of Dragoons on the 10th August. The game will ideally be starting at around 12pm and should last between six and eight hours.

I know that Dean and Matt should both be coming over so if you want to come you can easily arrange a lift with either of them.

Just to give you a brief background to the game:

The Dragoons game is run in a style similar to Sharpe, Pirates of the Carribean and The Three Musketeers but with Elves and Orcs.

In the game you play members of the King's Own Dragoons. As a Dragoon, you will be given both regular and special tasks and not all the game revolves around fighting, there is a fair share of social interation and some problem solving.

Magic is limited to Blessings which generally belong to the Chaplain Core and Magic as part of the Engineering Core. Medical practices in the game are also very good and the Medical Core are good at stopping members of the Dragoons dying.

It is very much like Historical Renactment/Sealed Knot in which you get dressed up in periodic costumes and use weapons and armour (though the weapons we use are safe foam weapons).

Costume:

Costume for the game is initially minimalistic and can easily be obtained. You are required to wear ideally grey pants though black will do, an off white collarless shirt though a plain white shirt will do, black thigh length boots though regular boots (or Black/Brown Boots/Shoes [Please NO TRAINERS]) and a sturdy Black or Brown Belt.

Members of the Chaplain and Engineering Core can wear all Black.

If you are able to find a Black, Blue or Grey Waistcoat, a Long (old looking) Grey or Blue Coat even better but these aren't needed.

If you have any LARP weapons the please bring them with you as well as armour (we can provide some if we know you are coming).

Also, if you have a Flintlock or Musket please bring that with you (we have some that we can provide as we know they are hard to come by).
